JOSÉ J. CORTEZ, CFA

A University of Massachusetts Amherst alum, Cortez serves as a vice president of Buy-Side Sales at FlexTrade in Boston where he leads new business sales efforts for FlexTrade’s multi-asset order/execution management system (FlexONE), serving as both a subject matter expert and advisor to the C-suite at hedge funds and asset managers. Cortez is a mentor and board member of the Newton-headquartered UMass Foundation, which manages the university’s $1.1 billion endowment. Cortez is also on the board at The UMass Club, a private social club in Boston for alumni and affiliates of the university.
